Impartial decisions
Certification decisions are protected from commercial, financial and other pressures and are made under defined authority.
Trust in the decision
Certification has value only when decisions are based on objective evidence, made competently and protected from improper commercial or personal influence.
How confidence is protected
CSi applies documented governance and management-system controls appropriate to the certification service and applicable accreditation or scheme requirements.
Certification decisions are protected from commercial, financial and other pressures and are made under defined authority.
Review and certification decisions are undertaken by personnel who satisfy the required independence from evaluation activities.
Personnel and external resources are selected, authorised and monitored for the work assigned to them.
Non-public information is protected and disclosed only with authority or where law, accreditation or scheme requirements permit or require it.
Actual, potential and perceived conflicts of interest are identified, evaluated and managed.
Complaints and appeals are handled through documented processes, including independent review and the Independent Hearing and Advisory Panel where applicable.
Accreditation scope
An accreditation applies only to the schemes, standards and activities shown within the accredited body’s current published scope. It does not automatically extend to every service offered by that organisation.
Check the JASANZ RegisterUse the JASANZ Register to confirm CSi’s current accredited scope and published certificate records. If a CSi certificate is not listed, contact CSi before relying on it. CSi’s ISO 9001:2026, ISO 14001:2026, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 management-system certification services are currently in their pre-accreditation phase and are not represented as accredited certification.
Use the documented complaint or appeal pathway so the matter can be recorded, reviewed and formally concluded.
