First party or Internal Audit is carried out within the Company so that the
business can maintain control of the
QA system
performance.
Second party
certification results from an audit and certification of a
supplier’s QA system by the buyer’s representative. This
certification is only recognised by the buyer’s organisation.
Third party
certification results from an audit and certification of a
supplier’s QA system by an independent third party certification
body, such as CSi.
